Signs that your horse might benefit from massage

No matter what activities you do with your horse, they may benefit from massage as part of their normal preventative maintenance routine.

Your horse may also benefit if they show changes in behaviour or performance:

  • Preference to working on one rein

  • Reluctance to canter on one lead

  • Cold backed

  • Sensitivity to being tacked up

  • Showing aggression to tack/grooming

  • Rearing/ bucking

  • Head shaking

  • Hollow back and high head carriage

  • Uneven stride length

  • Lack of poll flexion and bend

  • Anything out of character for your horse
